Contribute To The Re-Election Campaign - Receive A Tax Credit

The State of Ohio allows you to support candidates while also providing you with a tax credit. The Ohio Political Contributions tax credit (Line 52 on your Ohio IT-1040) allows residents to take a dollar for dollar tax credit, up to $100 for joint filers and $50 for individuals, for contributions made to candidates running for State office. If you file jointly and send $100 to Grendell for Good Government, you can reduce the tax you pay to the State of Ohio by $100!

Ohio law requires political committees to report the name, mailing address, occupation and name of employer for each individual whose contributions aggregate in excess of $100 in a calendar year. Ohio Law limits contributions to $10,670 per donor per election cycle. Corporate contributions are prohibited by law. Not a charitable contribution for federal income tax purposes.
